I am trying to run 2-4 instances of DVB Dream at the same time, which rarely works, because the processor gets overloaded.
I thought that reducing the resolution of each video might help (I don't care much about picture quality, I just want to see it with minumum lags/delays), but couldn't find such an option. Is there a plugin that would allow me to do that, or maybe such a feature would be included in a future version of the program?
Any advice on alternative ways to reduce the workload of the processor would be appreciated as well.

Re: Changing picture resolution
Try to install more and more video codecs and test one by one to find out which codecs spend less CPU time.
You can try to disable/enable each codecs own options (hardware acceleration etc if the support) though DVB Dream Video options window , by clicking on the codec names at the right side.

DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
