channel sorting, shortcut keys, etc..

Postby jrosado » Tue Feb 13, 2007 3:32 am

Ok, here are some features i would like to see on DVBDream:

- Channel sorting by channel number (in order to sort the channels by my favorite order, i have to edit the provider field and place numbers, e.g., 001, 002,...);

- changing channel using the channel number and the numeric keypad;

- shortcut keys for full screen, volume up, volume down, PIP, EPG, menu display;

- Netowrok streming client (instead of using the VLC), so that we could change the channel on the client PC.

I thing that's all for now.

- Channel sorting by channel number (in order to sort the channels by my favorite order, i have to edit the provider field and place numbers, e.g., 001, 002,...);
Already exists in DVB Dream's Remote Channel List.
- changing channel using the channel number and the numeric keypad;
Already exists in SimOSD.
- shortcut keys for full screen, volume up, volume down, PIP, EPG, menu display;
Already exists in DVBDream for most of them.
- Network streaming client (instead of using the VLC), so that we could change the channel on the client PC.
I'm actually working on a NetStream Client and I'm planning to add a remote network in it (in order to control DD from client PC)... But as I have a lot of work, I really don't know when it would be ready.

Opss.. sorry, I'm a completely newbie to DVBDream.

Ok, going with parts:

Channel sorting by number: This means i have to move (copy) all channels I want to Remote channel List. Ok..i will try that.

What is SimOSD?

shortcut keys: how can i know them?

No problem :wink:

That's right :wink:
What is SimOSD?
SimOSD is a alternative OSD module for DD. Notice that new features (such as displaying Channel List) will be included in future 1.2 release.
shortcut keys: how can i know them?
You just have to clic on the "Help" entry on DD main menu (Files - Channel - Options - ... - Help - Modules - ...) , select "Help" another time and look for Shortcuts in the help file.

Nice, the SIMOSD :D

As for the shortcut keys, i've done as you say, but i can't find no useful info.

For example, if i want to go to full screen, which key should i press?

Great :D Thank you very much :wink:

Now i have to go to the bug section, to put some small bugs I've found out.

(By the way, EXIT is also F12. When i used the Alt+F4 it did not exit...it minimized to the taskbar)

Is there any way to start the program at full screen mode?

This bug has already been reported by Dreamer :wink:

Yes it is!!! The only thing you have to do is to add the command switch "/fullscreen" in DD's shortcuts (on Windows Desktop and/or in Windows Start Menu)

ex : C:\DVBDream\dvbdream.exe /fullscreen

Good to know. :) I have a suggestion. It would be nice if you could use the PIP feature for switching channels if possible (same TP). Perhaps you could start a new topic in the Testers group...

Is there any key to quick change the audio stream from a channel?

Remember when looking at one provider their channel numbers are the SID, so sorting by SID will place channels in the order they use.

Two or more providers will mess that up, like grouping DN and BEV together.
