Use C/KU band on same satellite

Postby Coyote X » Wed Mar 28, 2007 9:01 pm

I just started using DVB Dream and it is great! Thanks for such an awesome program. My setup is in my sig. I can add a sat say for example Galaxy 25 to the port the C band is on and scan it and get a channel list and watch them. I go add the same satellite to the port the KU is on and can also scan it and watch them as well but there is no way to keep both channel lists and watch either C or KU without going back in and changing the diseqc port back to the appropriate one.

The only workaround I have found is to create another INI file. Galaxy 25 is 2630.ini I can copy it as 2631.ini and edit the first line to show the correct file name. Then I can add 2630 to C and 2631 to KU and scan both of them and use it as normal except I have a 97 and a 96.9 button on the channel list. It is not a big deal really to do it this way but I am thinking either I am missing something or maybe nobody else is using a setup similar to mine if nobody has ran into this problem before.

Would it be possible to add a feature where DVB Dream knows what LNB is on what port and can scan everything in the INI file selecting the appropriate port as needed?
