Support of dual diversity dvbt receivers

There are several dual diversity dvbt receivers (pinnacle, hauppauge, terratec ...) on the market. They all relay on the same chipset.
My pinnacle usb receiver is displayed as two different receivers. The main advantage of the diversity receivers is the improved signal strength, if you put the two receivers together to one output signal.
This is not possible with dvbdream. You can see both receivers only separately.
As all receivers have only one chipset it should be possible to programm the chipset to do this.
