I wrote a module that does this. I am currently testing it. I would be willing to help in any development. This allows recordings to be played in any software with the proper decoder filters.
Thanks,

Record ts files as a Single Program Stream

If you breakdown the ts stream you will understand. The ts stream PMT references all programs on the current transponder. However only the currently tuned channel and its selected audio and video pid are stored in the ts file. If DD could create a PMT for the recorded file that references only the currently recorded PID, the recorded files would better confrom to the ts spec. This would allow the files to be played back in any program.

Dream has an module to do that... record ts
this records the entire transponder then later you can process it with joshey funs CSAOFFLINEDECODER aka csaofflinedec located
http://joshyfun.peque.org/OfflineDescrambler/index.html
It does work with d1sh and b3v you will need to modify the ini if your using it with bev streams in order for the ECM pids to be recognized by the csaofflinedec application "it detects ECM pids as EMM pids" flaw in the program either way. beyond the scope of my reply
feel free to pm me about it or talk to me on irc about it likwidchz on uicn.
as far as recording to ts you can do this by doing pip record and selecting ts as the output format...
I honestly have no idea why would you want to record more then you actually need to get video...
record the entire ts and process it later.
you can just about include the options you need in the ts file in settings...
what more can you possibly want included in the ts file?
btw windows plays ts files fine, and so does any other video application for that matter..
