I think DVBdream is much better if compared with ProgDVB but the latter has surely a way of video recording better than DVBdream.
Why don't you try to implement a way of registration like the other one?

I'm writing it because when I try to look at the videos which I have recorded earlier, I've a lot of issues by opening them with Media Player. They work good only with VLC
