Let's have this situation. I record the whole transport stream from Eurobird 1 / Astra 2, freq 11642 V (channels like Vault, Flaunt, NME, True movis...). It's lot of data, cca 15GB per hour. Then I scan whole TS and save some videos/movies. Problem is, that whole TS has 16 (!) channels. I am interested only in six. Scanning and saving (I use VideoReDo) is very slow and jerky (SATA HDD). Demuxing particular channels for later editing is also very slow. It would be better to record only TS with selected channels (PIDs). Six channels TS is editable very fast, I tried it. Recording mpegs vith many PIP windows is not the solution I would like. Better to have dialog which before recordning offers me all the PIDs (ECM, EMM too, I want to record crypted MTV packet on Astra 1). I'll check what I want to record and resulting TS will be much smaller and faster to edit. Please think it over, thanks.
