Trasnponder folder overwrite option

When installing/reinstalling/upgrading DVB Dream in an existing location it would be nice to have an option to choose not to overwrite existing transponders folder.
I make many changes, and have to make copies, delete the new folder and replace with copy.

A similar option to import transponders and/or settings from another location would be nice.
If I install new version into a different folder so I can retain the older version I'd like to import settings and transponders from version 1.1 into 1.2 for example. When first installing DD asks for language and diseqc settings and then goes to scan. Importing all of that from a previous install would be helpful.

I agree, perhaps a simple Uninstall option to uninstall DD, it would remove all files except settings, ch. list, transponders, plugins, external modules and other external files. Then we could install new version and choose to not replace any files.

Also, a new installation resets some other settings.

I use double click to change channel and a different record path.
Those always get reset with re-installing or upgrading.

No, just the settings file format has been changed (1.1 ini > 1.2 cfg), I have never lost my settings, just this time. Just install DD to the same dir (backup old DD folder first if you need your trandponder files) and choose replace all, or install to other dir and copy setting and channel list there (probably also other settings files).
