Special "crop/zoom" (MPC) features

Postby Dreamer » Wed Oct 11, 2006 8:30 am

Few features from Media Player Classic would be very useful also in DD, especially for wide LCDs (16:10 AR), but also for 17/19" LCDs (5:4 AR). AR should be retained, of course.

- Touch image from outside
- Touch image from inside

- Zoom to wide screen
- Zoom to ultra wide screen
- Zoom to 16:10 LCDs (or custom as in MPC)

- Touch image from outside
- Touch image from inside
not the same , but similar options in v1.3 will be available.

- Inner frame (Embedded 4:3 or 16:9 broadcasts)
- Outer frame (Native 4:3 or 16:9 broadcasts)

v1.3 will support all the following aspect ratios

4x3
16x9
16x10
1x1
5x4
221x100 * I dont know if there are monitors using this AR at market but definition is used in VLC
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it

Re-opened.

It doesn't work good, aspect ratio is wrong, it's correct only with overlay renderer and some codecs, but in this case there are always thin black bars.

Therefore I suggest these options again:

- Touch image from outside
- Touch image from inside

I think that if you would add the similar options as Embedded 16:9 and Stretch Embedded 16:9 also for 16:10 (and 5:4) it would be enough / it would be working good (with overlay renderer and some codecs).

And another one, special zoom feature - zoom width and heigth together.

In all cases always preserve aspect ratio.

Thanks.
