Multiple file format for timeshifting

Been messing around with Timeshifitng on DVB Dream and notice that the file is one continous file that writes over itself depending on the amount of time you want to buffer. One thing that I would like to do is use my MYHD card as a viewing source, which would greatly lower my CPU since no rendering needs to be done with DVBDream. I have been able to save video clip in ts format and play it back fine with MYHD. The continous timeshift file can't be played while recording.
What I would like to request is a option added to allow multiple files for the timeshift buffer. Using a HD Feed for example, if DVBdream was set to create a new file every 133mb (it would give a aprox buffer of 1 min) and create a new file for the next min and so on, up to the max buffer size listed in the preference (i.e 1024). After the size has it its max, it goes back to the original file and writes over. This should free up the ts file so I could start MYHD playback one min behind.
Does that sound fesible?
Essentially, looking for anyway to use a hardware based decoder like MYHD as a video source for HD and SD content using DVbDREAM.
