Complete computer lockup

hi, i am using DVBdream 1.3 with a PCTV 310i from pinnacle... it works good but i always get a computer freeze sooner or later and i need to hard reset it.
so i'm forced not to use dvbdream but its actually the best for watching dvb-t on my card :(
Pinnacle PCTV 310i, driver v. 1.3.3.0, Core2 Q6600, win xp

i maybe figured out the reason of the freeze. i switched from cyberlink audio and video codecs to gabest, and now dvb dream is running from some time withouth lockups...
Pinnacle PCTV 310i, driver v. 1.3.3.0, Core2 Q6600, win xp

so is it a codec related issue ?
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
