1.1h - Sound is lost sometimes when switching

Postby Dreamer » Sun Jul 23, 2006 6:04 am

Quite often, when switching between channels, sound is lost, I have to switch to other channel and back to get sound again. Sometimes its quite often, sometimes even few days it's OK, strange. Does anyone esle have this problem?

Probably from v1.1h, but maybe earlier, I use Direct sound SB Audigy2 Audio renderer and InterVideo Audio codec.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB RAM, ATI RX800 256MB, SB Audigy 2 Value, SkyStar 2 rev.2.3, TechniSat DVB 4.4.0, Windows XP SP2

I don't know if this is your problem, but exist a problem with some people that use the technisat driver/software, when SS2 is trying to lock a transponder the audio becomes corrupted, when you can lock the transponder the problem disappear.

I had this problem and only solved it using other driver for sound system.

I don't know, it's really strange, sometimes it's very often, sometimes it works good few days, even weeks... :?

Maybe just with some renderer/codec, will be testing more and let you know.

I found older topic with the same problem, since I can't merge posts, I'll copy it here and move that other topic to "Old" section.

dvddream 1.1g loosing sound
after switching between channels, I get sound lost and I have to close and open the prgram again. I tried intervideo, nvidia and dscaler audio decoder.
