Problems with DiseqC 1.1

Postby kostan » Thu Jul 02, 2009 3:28 pm

Good night to all the members of DVBDream Community, I have TeVii S-460 card and a DiseqC-switch 1.1 and when I try to search channels, DVBDream finds channels from one satellite only and does not "see" channels from other satellites. I tried to change settings, but it has not helped. Sincerely, Kostan.

DVB card model - TeVii S-460,driver version - 2009.08.11
DiseqC 1.1 GTP - 1181 for watching channels broadcasting by Eutelsat W4, Astra 2, Astra 1, HotBird 7/8/9, EuroBird 9A, Sirius 4, Thor 3/5
Intel Core 2 Duo E8200@2.66GHz

Is the latest bda.dev able to send uncommitted switch and/or raw DiSEqC commands to a TechnoTrend TT-3200? Both types of commands work fine with a DVB World 2104, but the identical configuration fails with the TechnoTrend.

From bda.log for TT-3200:

SendDiseqc() E0 10 39 F1 Len:4
SendDiseqc without raw diseqc, Diseqc:1

From bda.log for 2104:

SendDiseqc() E0 10 39 F1 Len:4
dvbworld_send_diseqc()
DVB World DVB-S2 2104, TT-3200, lotsa dishes and switches. Windows XP 32-bit.

Doesn't work for DVB-S2 QPSK modulation

Postby Poune » Wed Oct 07, 2009 6:56 am

Hi all !

This BDA Interface works with a FloppyDTV S2, I can now scan and watch DVB-S2 channels but only for 8PSK modulation !!?? I cannot scan DVB-S2 QPSK channels (no signal) :( Impossible to scan channels of Kabel Deutschland on Astra 23.5°E :( A solution?

But it works fine for my Diseqc 1.1 (uncommitted switch) installation with 8 LNBs.

Good job ;)

With the modulation NBC-QPSK (Fec 9/10) it's ok for the scanning of Kabel Deutschland's transponders :)

Thanx ;)

Prof Revolution DVB-S2 PCI 7301 & USB 7500 Devices require to install Prof's own bda.dev instead of DVBDream bda.dev for these cards to work. Prof support asks to create a folder, where bda.dev files from various card makers can be dropped under their names (like prof.dev) instead of having a single bda.dev file.

Can you incorporate Prof's devices into your bda.dev, or create mentioned bda.dev folder?

Testing BDA 2.5.0 with new Skystar HD2 (Mantis chipset) on XP:
- Can tune DVB-S channels without problems
- Can't tune 8PSK DVB-S2 (tried all modulations in scan dialog) but
16APSK works fine, also can tune NBC-QPSK (tested Sky Deutschland TPX)
- DisEqC doesn't work

I have been looking in MtsBda.sys with IDA and now have C code to send commands to this card and all others with Mantis chipset. If you are interested, drop me PM. There is about 50 undocumented commands in driver, will make list when I know what they do.
