Example c++ code for SDK?

I am wanting to build a module using C++ to export EPG data from DVBdream in an XLM format that I can use for an EPG I am developing.

I have looked at the sample code which is included in the SDK but since I am just learning C++ I don't totally understand how to get the satellites. channel list, and favorites list using the API. I also do not understand how to read and parse either the 2 or 9 day EPG using the SDK. Having looked far and wide for source examples, I am hoping some of the users on this forum would be kind enough to share some examples of how they are using the SDK to get the information I am looking for or steer me to some sites which would have the information I seek.

This is a learning project for me but I always find more motivation to learn while developing a project in which I am interested.
