DVBDream and Gameguard

Postby mime » Thu Jun 28, 2007 6:29 am

Hi,

I noticed that DVBDream has a problem with "nprotect Gameguard" (a

anti-hack soft); it's the only DVB software which can't be used along with a

game using "Gameguard", wich reports "Hack found"; I tried with other softs,

no problem; I tried again with DVBDream, and game says"Hack found", and

back to desktop.

Is there a way to avoid that?

Thanx in advance.

Don't know... Perhaps you could try to disable remote, or/and plugins, one by one.

Dvbdream obviously does something very weird and intrusive at it's startup.

Outpost firewall is always complaining at some random running or last launched application for attempt to modify it's files when Dvbdream starts.

_Not_ at dvbdream itself, but dvbdream causes some other application to be framed by outpost.

This behaviour doesn't happen with any single other dvb app out there.

Thanx for answers.

I already tried to disable all plugins, or prevented DVBDream from accessing web, but nothing changed.

It seems that it is indeed pretty intrusive; that's a pity 'cause I like this app.

Better ask to Gameguard authors. Here is not the right place for your problem.

There are many DVB app, I tried several, and actually, I decided to post here 'cause DVBD is the app I used to use, and it's the only one which has a problem with Gameguard, so I doubt their authors can help. ^^'

Anyway, I will use another DVB app till a DVBD/Gameguard update solve this issue.

Thanx again.
