1.2b - Crash after prop. change on H264 channel

Postby Dreamer » Fri Sep 15, 2006 5:50 pm

- use ATI codec, if possible and VMR9
- switch to:

CHANNEL
Name: "EVENEMENT HD" Provider: "CSAT"
TRANSPONDER
12581000, V, 22000000 QPSK
Satellite: 0192 - Astra 1A-H, 2C

- change Video to H.264 (in Channel prop. dialog)
- immediate crash without any error dialog

That option should be changed to H.264, since it's H.264, right?

Hardware: AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB RAM, ATI RX800 256MB, SB Audigy 2 Value, SkyStar 2 r2.3, Dish-Offset 120cm...

if you use Cyberlink h.264 or CoreAVC, does the same channel works ok ?

I'll try that channel today, if I can get signal from the transponder.

No crash with CoreAVC, but after change that option to H264 I have just black screen. The same with Cyberlink h.264. I tried to restart DD, other renderers, still the same.

BTW picture is freezing with any codec, I'll be testing more HDTV channels today with both devices...

undetermined, likely codec problem. h.264 codecs are not so compliant unfortunately.

ATI h.264 might have a problem in initialization / deinitialization.

Return to “Undetermined”
