Scanman, which BDA driver should we be using? I have seen many other users say they got DVBDream working with your driver patch.
I would like to get mine working as well. I have MT working ok, too much cpu usage, fatal crashes every now and again. A BDA driver would allow us to explore internet over satellite useage further.

Bladerunner, I could still not get my starbox to work with the "BDA_ALL_105" file. Did you actually get your starbox to work. Looks like you have the same 7021 as I have and I don't think this will work with a BDA driver? It must be a WDA driver, do you know the difference between the two? Let me know if you got it working...

heres what I got so far. Starbox driver 2.0.0.3 for MT working, but MT causing restart every third time or so. Channels u have to click once, wait 5 sec, click again to get them up.

upgraded to bda driver 1.0.3.4 for dvbdream. Used scanmans device file 105 from german site. Run his site through babel fish on google to translate it.( i hope he gets around to language plugins for us)
My device is active, but still not there yet. Bda log shows it fails to make parser. Scans no channels so far. I am new to dvbdream so I am looking for help to make sure my settings are right. only using one plugin starts with E in pip oo no chans with or without it. selected v1.o-2.0 in switch settings, DP high no signal! is all I see. Software, driver, or plugin prob. Here is my bda all log:

I think it's time to scrap the Starbox. You can still get the Twinhan 1020a on ebay for around $50, I understand these are very good cards but they are discontinued. The new model that replaces the 1020a is the Twinhan 1027. Twinhan also has a PCI-E card (1028), but I don't have a PCI express slot on my mother board. There's also a new version of the starbox (7022) that I am still going to stay away from!

Can someone give us some reviews on the Twinhan 1020a and the 1027 PCI cards? Is the 1020a worth the $50?

When my starbox works, I like it. I have it going pretty good with MT, just a few bugs I am having a hard time working out, and help is slow. It will come though. I just wanted to see if I could get it going with dvbdream as well or better than with MT. I got the setup down for MT if u need it. I cant afford to buy a new card anyway. This one boasted so much about internet capabilities and recording straight to dvd, I had to check it out. I can archive stuff easy enough with it, just trying to help get it up and get bugs worked out by reporting progress. It is a pain at first, but it will work for you. Trial and error got mine up with help from a few others.

I have my starbox working with MT but that is the only software it works with. HD is a pain, I get constant freezing and 100% CPU usage. That is why I'm switching to the Twinhan PCI, it's supported by many more programs out there, specifically DD.

Scanman looked at my bda log and said there is a bug in 105. He said to use 104 till he gets it fixed, not connecting filters properly. Also, apparently sats need to switch ports for DD. Try that with the 1.0.3.4 driver. Are you experiencing computer restarts with MT? Mine started that. I quit using dvbepg and it quit. Need more testing to see if that was the cause or not.

Bug in 105??? I couldn't get mine to work with 104 or 105? I tried installing others drivers with the starbox but it will not recognize a BDA driver. It actually screwed up MT and it started acting flakey. I did a system restore and it seemed to have fixed the problem.

Mine did that too. Scanman says you cannot have more than one dvb program installed at a time, so you have to remove MT all together and install DD. Copy 104 to DD, Then upgrade your usb driver to 1.0.3.4, without HID. I think that should get it. Make sure you got sats on the correct ports. If that doesnt work, go back to MT until we get more info. This will work, other people have done it. Make sure you write down your MT settings so it will be easy to set up again.
