Skystar2 Diseqc 8/1 problem

Postby rijeka2008 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 7:32 am

Hello to everyone. I have the Skystar2 HD sat card. I am trying to manage to work over 4 satellites with DVBDream.
Does Skystar2 or Skystar2 HD supports diseqc 8/1 switches?

Can somebody help?

The SkyStar DVB-Cards officially supports only DiSEqC 1.0. For an 8in1 Switch you need software/drivers with support of Diseqc 1.1 (not only 1.0 and 1.2) to send commands to the uncommitted switch and then to the committed switches. Some users say that it work when you just select "None" in the Diseqc menu and add then all LNBs and set then the number of the uncomitted switch. But this never worked for me. Take al look at the Forum-Search with the "diseqc" keyword ;)

For Skystar2 you can use the Software AltDVB (version 2.2) with the patched driver of from MiBi. Google will help you to find the files.

For the SkyStar HD you can use the TT WDM-Drivers and the wdm-devicefile from BxS. You will find it here. But it seems that it only works WinXP.

And for the Skystar HD2: I don't know if the drivers for TT works for this card too.
I'm using a SkyStarHD (TT S2-3200 WDM) with DVBdream on 1 uncommitted and 3 committed Spaun-switches for 11 LNBs (28,2°E - 12,5°W).
