Recording doesn't work good. I have recorded 4GB file (MPG). Result - it looks good in MPC (and other players), but after 45 minutes it starts freezing, then just black screen. I tried to cut 1 song (4 min.) in MPG2CUT2 program (it looks good there, I can see whole file there), but result is bad, freezing...
I've used renderless mode - turned it on / off few times.

Satellite: 0192 - Astra 1A-H, 2C
I also tried to compress that bad file (part) to xvid and result is perfect - no freezing, good picture and sound.
It's not the only bad large file, already reported on beta testers forum, still not fixed... About 1 of 5 (4GB) files are bad.
Can anyone reproduce it??
Another test:
- DD priority change to normal
- run other program that can cause 100% CPU
- set priority of that program to high
- start rec.
- DD/picture is freezing - completely
- renderless mode enabled
- whole PC is freezing
- renderless mode disabled
- DD is freezing
- stop rec.
= now - result, MPG file is perfect, no errors, no freezing, correct time (2 min.)

1.2 - MPG Recording problems

I tries the same channel with Full TS mode enabled:
CHANNEL
Name: "DELUXE MUSIC" Provider: "BetaDigital"
TRANSPONDER
12460000, H, 27500000 QPSK FEC 3/4
Satellite: 0192 - Astra 1A-H, 2C
Recorded 6 hours, 5.6GB (2 hours renderless mode, 1 hour normal mode, rest renderless mode + 1 radio PIP window opened and playing a game in 1600x1200 resolution!, renderless mode was disabled at the end), NO FREEZING, but it needs more tests.
Anyway, I think it could be really Full TS mode, there are several problems if disabled, if enabled everything works good (probably except scanning):
- 2 PIP windows problem
- MPG recording (probably)
- DD startup problem
- Small random freezing when I switch to some channels
- Maybe also others unknown, anyone can try if changing this mode would help and report please
All this works good now with Full TS mode enabled.
I will be testing also scanning, it's probably just on some TPs, till now it works good. I think if they are some scan problems with Full TS mode enabled, it would be maybe easier to fixed these problems instead of several problems (above) when Full TS mode is disabled.

can anybody explain to me what is the original purpose of the full TS mode? A while ago when betatesting 1.2 we had problems with this setting and we all turned it off to get rid of the freezings; now it looks as if dreamer has found that for best performance while recording it's better to have it turned on.
so what do you guys think is actually recommended?

P4 3.0GHz 1024 MB of ram, nvidia Geforce 6600, SS2 rev 2.6, WDM drivers 4.41, SG2100, always latest DVBDream with the latest FFDshow.
"Full TS" mode is just to record the whole stream from the transponder (when Stream Recorder is used). Normally user is not supposed to be using that mode. It doesnt bring any advantage other than this. Full TS records could be used for testpurposes mostly, i.e. users could send me a sample stream (it would be a file bigger than 50 mb , recorded for 20 seconds), so that I could be able to test it with File device on DD, to see if there are problems on scanning , record etc..
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
OK, but how you can explain this (I tried another 6GB file, also without any problem, wit Full TS enabled)???

I'm still using Direct B2C2 device.I tried the same channel with Full TS mode enabled:

I had the same problem with a 3,74 GB file.
Channelname: "Prosieben"
Satellit: 0192 - Astra 1A-H, 2C
Freq: 12,480 GHz
Pol: V
Symbolrate 27500000
Modulation: QPSK
FEC: Auto
Pid: 257 deu (AC3)
Recoding format: MPG
After around 90 minutes the video starts freezing. But demuxing works until this point where it starts. Demuxing with MPG2Cut2 demuxes the whole video without any freezing. But the audio file isn't at the same length.
Converting to DivX works great and video is working again without freezing and full audio.

Another 7GB record, again with no problems, Full TS enabled, B2C2 Direct device.
It looks there is a problem with B2C2 Direct, if Full TS mode is disabled only on some channels.
