How do I hook these dishes up....

Postby mrnewbie » Sun Aug 10, 2008 6:19 pm

I know there are similar threads on this subject..but I just couldn't find a definative solution..so I'm asking..

How do I hook it all up..
The problem...I have 2 sub boxes running off the dish 1000.2..It just so happens this dish has 3 outputs...

So how do I hook up the 3rd output of 110,119,129 and the other dish 82,91 all to one Skywalker-1...I'm under the impression..I can't plug that 3rd output into the Diseqc..so I need to combine the diseqc and the 3rd output of the 1000.2dish...HOW?

1st dish: Old Legacy Dish 500 to Diseqc ports 1 & 2 aimed at 82 & 91
2nd dish: DISH 1000.2 aimed at 110,119,129

At this point in time, I'm swapping cables.
I can swap cables and get all the channels from each dish.

Try using a 22Khz switch.

I'm not sure how all this would work...But I'm willing to try

Is this what you are suggesting...

I think it would be more like port 4 22khz on=91 and port 4 22khz off=82.
I'm not sure if it will work but try both infront of the 1000.2's built in diseqc switch or behind in the cable order.

I was thinking more along the lines of what mrnewbie said but I don't see why what you sketched wouldn't work.
