No Audio Problems

Postby GeorgeIoak » Tue Feb 27, 2007 12:16 pm

I'm having some odd problems and am hoping that someone out there can help me cure this.

I've got a GenPix tuner, GeForce 9500 card, and my OS is MCE. For software I have NVidia Decoders, Nero 7 Ultra, and PowerDVD 7 (and I think 6.5) installed. It's an Intel board with SigmaTel Audio on board.

First all applications besides DVB Dream work as expected, generating video and audio, as well as outputing audio onto the SP/DIF outputs.

Once I start DVB Dream I can sometimes get audio and if I don't sometimes if I close DVB Dream and then start it again it will output audio. Most of the combinations of Video and Audio into the Ctrl-G window that I choose cause an error saying it can't generate a graph.

Currently the only audio choice that generate audio on the analog output only is Nero. Each time I change the audio decoder I'll close DVB Dream and restart it just to confirm but so far I'm not having much luck.

I've gone in and edited the guid.ini file to add the CLSID that I find in my system and that does add the different options to choose from but still things aren't working well.

While I'm asking, I've never been able to see the StarzHD channel and I thought selecting the Nero H.264 decoder would solve that.

BTW, what does it mean when you are in the CTRL-G window and one of the options changes to a pink color?

Help please!!!
