burning issue

Postby MrDish64 » Sat Oct 06, 2007 7:22 pm

I use a stand alone computer that has DVB Dream V1.3C that I can't burn recorded movies. With Power Producer 2 Gold I click 'produce movie', click ' disc type DVD, (location 'Canada', video quality' long play', disc capacity '4.7GB'), under Import/Capture click 'video files' and the window where the movies are pops up. When I click the movie everything freezes up (hour glass appears). Or, if I deselect 'preview movie' (at import/capture), click the movie, the movie will appear in the clip area but an 'Active Movie Window' will appear. The pointer will show within this window but once out of this window, the hour glass appears. I can't close or move the window and all is frozen. Anybody have an idea?, thanks.

to burn DVDs without problem, better record in TS record format instead. (in TS format, stream is recorded as is)

if you are already using TS format, then the application might be incompatible with that type of stream.

There are many programs for TS conversion to MPG or another format
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it

Before burning a TS-Mpeg file to a DVD (PS-Mpeg) it's better to use a software such as PVAStrumento or ProjectX to patch the stream. Elsewhere you will probably have some desynchronization between audio and video stream.

To burn a DVD from DVB recording, here is a short method :

1/ Record in TS format with all audio and Teletext PIDs

2/ Use ProjectX to demultiplex it --> 1 video file + 1 or more audio file (depends on how many audio PIDs) + 1 teletext subtitle file

3/ Use an authoring DVD software to create a multi-language DVD with subtitles.
