starbox 2, 4x8 multiswitch and dvbdream?

Postby somedude » Wed Oct 24, 2007 4:53 pm

does the twinhan starbox 2 usb work with dvbdream, and will it work with my current zinwell 4x8 22khz tone burst, 18v/13v switch with 110 and 119 hooked up?

edit: also, will i get hdtv with this box? it says so on the box, but im not sure if thats for europe or something. if not is there another usb box that will do that trick, i only have a laptop so i cannot use a pci card.

it is not in the supported devices list as it hasnt been tested.
I am not sure if Twinhan produced a Turbo-8PSK tuner (so their DVB-S2 models wont work in NA)
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it

@somedude

You can try this interface: http://www.dvbdream.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1181
A BDA-Driver for the Box is neccessary - WDM won't work !

StarBox 1 works - if SB 2 does... please try.
HDTV may be possible, but not from DVB-S2 TPs !
TechnoTren S-3600 and 3650 (with CI !) are USB-Boxes with DVB-S2 capability.
