Built in 1.4a EPG with lots of unknown channels

Postby soccerdad » Tue Nov 06, 2007 11:00 am

I just loaded 1.4a and like what I see. I am very excited about the updated EPG. The normal channel scan found many channels. When I launch the EPG, it shows some of them (with channel name) and the programs, but for about 95% of them it gives sat transponder info and not the channel name or number. It downloads the program guide for those channels, but it is not much use unless you know the channel name. Any ideas?

if you mean DD's internal EPG,
"the transponder info" means those channels are not in your channel list. (you haven't scanned them or they are in another satellite, not reachable or they use a different SID -service id-)
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes it is the internal DD EPG. I have scanned both sats and it shows a large number of channels. When I hit the EPG (cntrl E) button, with "this channel only" checked, it does not find any programs on the EPG, even if I am on a known EPG transponder. If I uncheck the this channel only box, it will find a couple hundred channels, but every time, it the EPG finds different numbers of channels, and sometimes all of them are listed as "unknown" in the channel column. Sometimes it lists some of the channels by their name, but only some and not all.
