Genpix not being detected by DVB - Please Help!

Postby wadesi79 » Fri Aug 15, 2008 8:59 pm

Hello All,
I'm installing Dvb on a fresh install of XP Pro x64 using my brand new skywalker-1. I followed the instructions from a skywalker/DVB step by step setup I found. The problem is that when DVB starts up, Genpix is not "auto" found in the devices list. I've installed the Genpix driver and it is in device manager with no problems.

I installed em**ation just I should and I place the Genpix unfied driver into the devices folder in C:\dvbdream

Please Help!! Nothing is working right and I'm assuming it's becasue of this.

there is Readme file in DVB Dream folder on CD.

If you ever read it, you may know that you need to check "show all devices" box.

When I force the Genpix Unified device I get:

General Hardware Fault!
Cannot Initialize DVB Hardware! ErrorCode:1
Application will work in Offline Mode
Genpix SKYWALKER-1 : Sats 110, 118/119 and 129

well, you had to read "How to kill genpix device" document on CD first.
Now, it looks like the unit is killed as in scenario #1 (or #4).
Please reset Skywalker-1 using GPreset utility, and try to start DVB Dream again.

Please describe how your Dish, switch, and coax cables are grounded.
