how to add a new audio render

Postby ronzino » Sat Feb 20, 2010 7:34 am

Hi,

how can i add a new audio render to dvbdrem ?
I have a auzentech x-fi HD audio card that has 5 different renderers: i want to select HDMI audio reder.

should i have to modify guids.ini file ?
I opened this file, but this doesn't contain info about renderers :(
Can you tell me what i should modify and the syntax ?
The CLSID of my renderer is D31DB211-4549-4FC0-8B9D-53D118A74B3A

if i change de default audio render in windows control panel, DD let me to choose HDMI output, BUT UNFORTUNATLY, in this mode my soundcard only output in 2.0 audio format.

The only in all other application to obtain 5.1 audio is to follow sound card manufacturer instruction.

1) set in windows "speaker out" as default direct sound device
2) set in others application HDMI out.

But in Dvbdream, the HDMI OUT render is only available if i ignore the point 1).

How can i force another render present in the system but that is not currently activated by windows ?
The renderer selected is saved somewhere....in windows register ? in a file ? where ??? i have to force my own CLSID
