My STB scans channels in less than 3 seconds,
the free 1.4i version takes like 2 minutes
does the paid version scans channels in less than 3 seconds, if so I will pay for the $50 version
Does the paid version scan channels in les than 3 seconds?

Can't you download & try trial version ? It is for you to try before deciding about "paid"
Tips for faster scan:
If you are located in North America, enable "Customize for NA" in preferences/localization and then enable "Fast scan" in scan dialog and disable "Network scan" (these should be default but check anyway)
If you are in Europe or other continents, just disable "Network scan" (By default, it is enabled only for the first scan)

hello can you just tell me how long does it take to scan 1 satellite channel.
a simple question hope is not much to ask the 1.4i version just stinks if the latest $50 scans fast I will buy it.

Impossible to answer that question.. highly depends on your tuner, its driver, the satellite, the transponder lists and your settings..
You should try and find out yourself in your environment, you don't have to buy to try and see.. I already told that trial is there for you to see...

Re: Does the paid version scan channels in les than 3 second
Yes I tried the latest paid version and it took the same time to scan as the old free version, like 1 minute and 30 seconds to scan just one channel 1 cband frequencie.
So Im asking if the paid version is faster by unlocking iot or something becasue scanning sucks, Satellite Television Boxes take 3 seconds to scan in a channel.
could you tell be how faster is it to scan a channel from the old 1.4i version to the latest version 50%, 60% 5%

Re: Does the paid version scan channels in les than 3 second
yeah scanning in North America takes a long time it seems, at least for dishnetwork sats.
17 minutes for this sat and still gets lots of nameless channels :/
And that is with the paid version.

Re: Does the paid version scan channels in les than 3 second
Was it faster in older versions ? Maybe "fast scan" option might have got broken but nobody reported such. you scan with the option "NA fast scan" enabled, right ? Also enabling "Network Scan" causes longer scan, although it helps finding new transponders. Do you get good signal on nameless channels ?yeah scanning in North America takes a long time it seems, at least for dishnetwork sats.

Yes fast scan is on and network scan is off. It used to be faster a long time ago but I don't recall any certain version. I think it was when you first introduced fast scan, and then something changed on the dishnetwork sats that slowed it down. My personal opinion is that they did something to make it more difficult for fta devices to scan their sats. It would be really nice to have the option of getting the channel list from the NIT for such slow scanning sats. Bell sats scan much faster (after the first tp) as you can see in the screenshot below.
While I've got your attention Rel, something completely off topic here...
Why do you distribute such and old version of the genpix device file with dd? Every time I install, I have to dig up a newer device version and replace it.
