Information about CPU

Postby daWsOn_s » Mon Jan 22, 2007 3:58 pm

Hi,
I would like to know why while recording in renderless mode in mpeg the cpu usage is nearly nothing 5-8% then in TS (enabled only "all audio pids") is 20%?

I mean, the stream is always the same, there's no conversation or something like that, so why all that usage?

Infact as I said in an other post, in TS I always have a lot of errors during demuxing with a file with a lot of cuts of video and audio (orrible) then in MPEG everything is fine! Plus, using DD (render on) and recording in TS in the same time is really not good (50%-55% of CPU). Never happened with Progdvb, renderless mpeg or ts recording doesn't change the CPU usage.

PS: I just change the record mode, the codec and video renderer are the same as MPEG recording.

Thanks

I guess it's a known bug.

Can't help you with this, don't have DVB-T card, but you could change Device Options if it's possible, but not all cards support it.
