Genpix-usb and Vista

Postby Dnalop » Thu May 03, 2007 9:21 am

Hi,
I just switched from WinXP to Vista Ultimate having a hope
to overcome some frames losses on h.264 channels.
DX10 and new 8600gts should in my opinion make some improvement. However I run in problem with Genpix-usb device
driver installation.Vista detects my adapter(found new.....) but
can not find driver.
Any ideas,directions?
Thank You,
Regards,
JS

Postby Dnalop » Thu May 03, 2007 11:52 am

Well,let me explain again;
I am getting message ..Found new hardware... and another with two choices to install: automatic/recommended and manual. In both cases
(even if I type in full acces path) windows cannot find driver.Tried install from CD and from folder on desktop-same.

I just looked at your signature:
genpix driver is for 32-bit OS only (Cypress does not want to release DDK for 64-bit Windows).
Thus, you want be able to install genpix driver on x64 Vista.

PS: anyway, why do you need x64 version with only 2GB memory installed?

Thank You for reply,it confirms my finding when I used add new hardware
wizard windows message was more elegant-driver is not 64 bit.
I got this OS from friend of my to check my ideas.BTW additional 2gb RAM
is on the way.
Thank You again,
