The question for any/all dd guru's. Why am I not getting any audio or video even on angel or nasa? i do have the mpeg2 decoder and quite a few codecs installed. my theatre works great for about 20 min.
The setup intel 2.8 1gig ram 40gig hdd twinhan 1027 dish pro lnb at 119 and 110. dp301 plugged in for power. 1 grounding block and one dish splitter inline.
All the transponders scan in beautiful and I did get vid for about 5 mins once then nothing.
I've been using mytheatre for about a year with a nexus-s. I never could get the bandstacked transponders to come in though so on implulse picked up this twinhan 1027 off ebay.
On the mytheatre support board I read that there is a hardware issue with the twinhan cards and dish pro lnb's. To much power goes thru the card and causes it to blow a breaker. Turning the pc off/on again will resolve this issue, for about 20 min. Does anyone know of a fix or workaround for this?
for the record I wouldn't recommend a nexus-s or a twinhan card to anyone trying to use dish pro equipment. Neither of them have worked well for me.
So anyway. what am I doing wrong to cause the no audio/video?
I have even gone so far as to format/reinstall windows xp pro thinking mayby mytheatre was somehow interfereing with the codecs? Didn't make a bit of difference.

You are aware of the fact that this is the DVBdream forum...
I have been running a Twinhan 1025 into the 4th output port of a DP34, with 3 Dish receivers connected to the other 3 ports. And so I have yet to see any power issues. I am skeptical of your use of a "splitter". What's that? If you've plugged in a 301 into the same cable as the Twinhan, it's going to have a tough time trying to select polarization when it tires to lower the voltage to 13V. The 301, when it finds it's connected to a DP LNB, will put out 19V forever.
That said, if I select a DP LNB type in DVBdream, it sets the LOF1 and LOF2 frequencies correctly so far as I can see. But nevertheless it does not pick up any of the even (bandstacked) transponder frequencies without my having to calculate them by hand. It seems to be working fine now, and I've left it running for hours, without a problem. DVBdream even controls the DP34 correctly.
MyTheater never got the bandstacked frequencies either, until I entered the LOF-2 numbers from DVBDream! So, in MyTheater, if you select a DishPro LNB, it resets LOF1 and LOF2 for you, and they are not right. They should be set as follows: Lof-1 is 11250000 and Lof-2 should be 14350000. Maybe there are 3 extra zeros; I don't remember for sure. There are only certain frequencies in the pulldown list in MyTheater, unlike DVBdream where you could set them to anything.

I must have confused you by mentioning my theatre. My problem is that dvb dream will not provide audio or video on any station includng angel and nasa. I fail to understand what this has to do with LOF settings. I can scan all the transponders in.
I do have the mpeg2 decoder installed. Can someone tell me if ths is the only difference between my theatre and dvbdream? I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, just not sure what it is.

Apologies; I was confused.I fail to understand what this has to do with LOF settings. I can scan all the transponders in.
So, re-reading your post, let me summarize. You can watch Dish stuff with MyTheater for 20 minutes, but only on the odd transponders, and then you have to cycle the power on your PC to get anything back. (I still don't like that "splitter". What is that exactly?) When running DVBdream, you saw video once for 5 minutes, but then never again?

Use nvidia pure video for video and intervideo for audio. Generic rendering.
make sure your lnb settings are: na bandstacked dp ku-hi(dbs) 22hz off. i wouldnt run any switches inbetween the dp lnb and your card. In my opinion Genpix skywalker-1 is the only way to go!
