Please Recommend me a good remote.

Ok I recently bought a Genpix Skywalker-1 which does not come with a remote. I'd email Genpix but I don't want to disturb him on his vacation.
So can anyone recommend me a good DVB pc remote?
I like my mouse fine so please don't recommend a different mouse.

You can use this one as it seems to be supported by DD or use the MCE remote and use this FAQ to customize the buttons. You can find the TwinHan remote elsewhere as I've never used that store, just wanted to show you the remote. I used the MCE remote cause it came with my computer but it took me a while to configure the buttons, so the Twinhan would probably be a better choice, can anyone confirm?

Can you tell me which parts of that faq were relavent to setting up your MCE remote for dvb dream?

The FAQ provides instructions to replace the driver for the remote so that you can use either Girder (shareware) or HIP (freeware) to customize the buttons on the MCE remote. For example I use HIP and customized the buttons with Dvbdream's shortcut keys. (i.e. Record button on the remote functions as F4 which is the keyboard shortcut)

When I goto add IR and select learn IR directly from remote control, nothin happens. I put it 1cm away just like it says and I press buttons and nothing.
Do you have pronto ccf files or existing ir commands you can send me?

It seems winlirc is for comport controllers. Anyway I found out the Alternative mce driver Mceir.sys has bad vista issues.....such as not working. So I guess Im just gonna buy USB-Uirt and use some regular universal remote with girder or hip. I wish I would have found out about that before I ordered the remote....oh well.
