Adding new satellite

Postby prob » Sun Oct 21, 2007 6:06 pm

Here in New Zealand we use the new Optus D1 at 160.0 for our free to air channels. This satellite has not been added to DvbDream. What is the easiest way to add the settings for this satellite?

See http://www.lyngsat.com/optusd1.html for information.

Create an INI file and put it into \transponders folder of DVBDream, save the file as "1600.ini"

syntax is very simple, so just take a look at existing INI files first.

Thanks. I generated an ini file. It looks OK but DD Dream is not reading it ( i.e. can choose the new satellite - but no transponder choices come up) i suspect the problem is that i edited using Wordpad, and there is some unwanted formatting saved. Any suggestions on how to turn it into plan text?

copy paste into notepad and save it as 1600.ini

make sure you have the correct "number of transponders" information in the ini file

[SATTYPE]
1=0192
2=Astra 1A-H, 2C

[DVB]
0=76
1=10773,H,22000
2=10788,V,22000
3=10817,V,22000
4=10832,H,22000
..
..
..
76=12728,V,22000
