h264 doping frames like crazy

Does frames drop when channel is changed. DD1.4i needs resart and then it is fine.
Nvidia codec
coreavc 1.6.5 h264
any suggestions?
4400 X2 Athlon 2gig ddr2 ram, 8800 gt 512pci-e
Vista 32bit w/Genpix.Always trouble with h264.
