using Avivo...??

so heres my tale.. been using dd for awhile, have normal mpeg2 HD working fine on bev... but man.. h.264 is making me nuts.. for what feels like a year now..

I upgraded the machine to a 3.8ghz c2d, p5b mobo.. 2gb mem.. vista ultimate.. genpix adapter..

here are my results and problem left over...

AVCCORE, works fine.. BUT a small lag every 2-3 seconds... makes ya nuts...

Arcsoft, better pic quality.. same lag..

Avivo, i was told will work fine, but when i use Avivo i get blocky picture that never straightens out...

BTW, i use a 2600hd, i had a 7600GT but tried the 2600, pic looks fine.. same lag with both vid cards..

I have a 2600hd in now with the avivo..


One thing i would like to know is does ANYONE have .264 working PERFECT.. as in zero lag... and no timesync issues? one guy was posting on other forums that his works perfect... oh cept he cant get the lipsync to work... how is that perfec then?

So does anyone know how to get avivo working fine? And is this little lag a DD problem?

Try watching a race in hd, or sports.. thats where you see it the most.. watch the scroll at the top

........lag.......lag.......lag.....lag...... if that makes sense:)

BTW, this system has 3 160 gigs in raid0 not that i think it matters...

I've tried all the H.264 codecs (nvidia purevideo, coreavc, etc.), & i see the lag also....tried several combinations & still does NOT resolve the issue. anyone with a solution?

USB problem with bandwith
is record ok?

Shouldn't mpeg2 hd take up more usb bandwidth than h.264 hd?

CoreAVC (+Intervideo Audio) works fine for me, no stuttering, no voice-sync issues.
