View DVB Stream in correct resolution

Postby Syberdoor » Fri Jan 30, 2009 8:59 am

Is there a way to view every stream in it's "native" resolution?
It would be really nice to have the possibility of seeing pal in 720x576 and HD channels in 1280x720 to avoid software upscaling effects.

Only if you set your desktop resolution to the resolution of the stream and run in full screen mode. But this is frustrating because there are so many different resolutions out there. And it's not going to eliminate all scaling unless your display's native resolution matches what your desktop resolution is, if not, your display is then having to scale.

I set my desktop resolution to the native resolution of my display (1920x1080/60Hz) and let the video drivers scale everything up to that resolution. The nvidia display drivers scale better than my display.

But it should be no problem for the Program to do it, like setting the window to the correct size (of course onyl possible in tv-window oder normal window mode. I've seen it in ProgDVB whihc sadly is not as good as DVB Dream for many other features.

So does this mean the feature is not in there? Should I rather request it than asking how to do it?
