h.264 Internal Demuxer

Postby fvfv » Thu Feb 19, 2009 11:55 am

I use the Genpix 8tpsk USb Card with the latest driver posted on the dvddream site.

On MyTheatre beta I am able to view and record in ts format using the cyberlink powerdvd8 h.264 decoder and audio decoder.

On DVBDream, no matter what combination I use I cannot get it to play fine. All recordings that I do, regardless if they are manual recordings or scheduled recordings, I have to run them through tsdemuxer in order to play them with other players like VLC, KMPlayer or Zoom Player.

This tells me that the internal demuxer used by MyTheatre is different than the one used by DvbDream.

How can I change the internal demuxer used by DVBDream ?

I would really like to record in dvbdream as it is much faster to startup than mytheatre and seems to have better control for Aspect Ratio/Cropping in 16.9 wide screens.

Can you view the picture in DD without problems? DD can't be used with PDVD H264 codec as the video and audio are out of sync. I have tried a lot of codec and the only combination works for me is Coreavc for H264, and Nvidia PureVideo for audio.

And the reason they are out of synch is because of the remuxer.

I have not tried the combination but I am using DD only for recording and there should not be any issues on codec selection when you are recording, except for the demuxer.
