Aspect ratio is not correct with ffdshow, only in DD, AR and Crop & Zoom does not work correctly. In Pro*DVB it works good.

1.1g - ffdshow aspect ratio problems
Moderators:X05, Dreamer, FredB
OK, it looks, works good (edit - great
) now (test4), but you have to use...
Recommended options:
- Use ffdshow version Apr 13 2006 or newer.
- Mark/enable MPEG2 when installing ffdshow.
- Enable "Reset DS on channel change" options in DD.
- Choose aspect ratio 4:3 in DD.
- Dont' use "Resize and aspect" option in ffdshow.
- Dont' use "Postprocessing" option in ffdshow, it is needed for DivX/Xvid, but could cause problems and high CPU usage in DD.
- Change MPEG2 decoder to "libmpeg2" in ffdshow - |Codecs
- Enable options "Use overlay mixer, "HW deinterlacing" and "Allow output format changes during playback" in ffdshow - "Output".
Nice features:
- Keyboars & remote - keyboard shortcuts
- OSD.
- Deinterlacing - ffmpeg deinterlacer.
- Crop & zoom.
- Logoaway - to hide ugly/moving logos/icons.
- Picture properties - to change contrast, brightness, gamma...
- Subtitles (not tested yet).
- Blur & noise reduction.
- Sharpen.
- Noise.
- Perspective correction.
- Bitmap overlay.
- Grab.
- Feel free to use also other great ffdshow features!
If you want to use ffdshow for your video (DivX/Xvid) player(s) and DVB Dream, do this:
- Set ffdshow options (more above) and save them as preset (to file).
- Set "Preset autoload conditions" - add dvbdream.exe there.
- Enable options "Automatic preset loading" and "Try to load preset from file first".
- Exit DVB Dream.
- Do the same for your video player(s), just add video player(s) instead of dvbdream.exe, e.g.: mplayerc.exe;mplayer2.exe;wmplayer.exe;mv2player.exe
After more tests this information could added to DD maybe (not all, just most important information), I'll also create new topic with this and more (new) information - therefore some aditional information.
So one bug - black screen when I switch to fullscreen (generic video renderer) - Ctrl+W will solve this problem, maybe some option for ffdshow is needed.
I'll try to make some screenshots soon, to show ffdshow features in action!
Please let me know if ffdshow does not work, even if you are using recommended options, maybe some other option is needed...

OK, it was transparent window in background, with no transparent window it works good, so no bug.So only with Generic video renderer. With VMR9 it works good.So one bug - black screen when I switch to fullscreen (generic video renderer) - Ctrl+W will solve this problem, maybe some option for ffdshow is needed.
Closed.
