VLC client not decoding DD stream! Hlp plz!

Postby nitussi » Tue May 05, 2009 12:58 pm

Hi. I need hep with LAN streaming. My VLC(latest version) client receives the stream but does not decode it. Under Codec details it shows 34 streams ..17 videos and 17 audios, don't know if that means anything. I can stream VLC to VLC, but not DD to VLC. Can anyone help?

try with

Options -> Preferences -> LAN Streaming

Check

PAT Override (selected channel only)

Thx. I had to uncheck PAT Overrride(thought I tried already with the same results), anyway its working. Well, it works when I broadcast to a single computer on my network. When I try to broadcast across the whole network, it shuts the whole network down. Dont know why?Is it my router? More hlp plz!

Back to being a problem; no matter what I check and uncheck. Sucks!
I can't get over why 36 video and audio streams show up in the main media stream and will not go away.

" PAT Overrride" option overrides the PAT which holds info about how many streams /channels that transponder has. If you disable that option, it will list all channels on that transponder. Normally it should work well when you check that option.

Your router/switch might not be able to carry the network load.

I think you can use VLC to stream to other PCs, as it gets the stream from DD.
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
