DVB Dream Skywalker-1 HD Problems

Postby samcraig » Fri Jan 22, 2010 3:53 pm

Are there any settings I need to change in order to pick up the DN HD channels withing DVB Dream? I can pick up all other channels except HD. Everytime it scans a Turbo 8spk it has no signal, but 80% signal for everything else. The whole purpose of spending 200$ on a skywalker instead of 40$ for a twinham was for HD. I have gone thru every LNB setup within dvbdream and not one of them sees a signal for turbo 8psk. Any help please, before I send the skywalker back for refund

after checking some other sites, from what ive read, all the hd channels are on 129 not 110. is this true?

1) start DebugView (MS utility)
2) start DVB Dream
3) scan sat 110
4) stop DVB Dream

e-mail me a dump from DebugView (as attachment).

PS: there are three conus 8PSK transponders on sat 110, and few spot-beam 8PSK transponders on sat 119 (you may not see them, though).
Thus, if you did not swap cables on your diseqc switch, you should tune several 8PSK tps on sat 110.

let me check your logic (just in case):
when you are staying behind your dish looking at your LNBs, where is your 110-LNB (relative to 119-LNB)?
which one is on your right, which one is on your left side?
and how did you connect them to your diseqc switch?
are you 100% positive that you use correct INI files for each of your LNBs (that is, you did not swap 110<->119 ini files)?

Well I have finally figured out what the problem is. Dont know how to fix it but atleast I know what it is. DVBDream doesnt switch the diseqc to port 2 unless I disconnect the lnb from port1. I have a ULTRA 4X1 DISEQC, frequency 950-2400hz, insertion loss 3db.

Do I need to change any settings in dvbdream, because all I did was choose diseqc 1.0-2.0 when I set up. After I disconnected the lnb from port 1 and ran a scan on port 2 it found the channels I was missing. But as soon as I hooked port 1 back up there was no signal for the channels I had just scanned. A rescan with both lnbs connected gave me the same channels on both ports so that just means I dont have the settings right or the diseqc is junk. If the diseqc is junk can someone please give me a link or name of one that will work. thankyou
