Extended desktop and hardware acceleration in DD

Here's a strange problem... I have my graphics card set for "extended desktop" and am watching DD on the secondary monitor (HDTV).

However, this only works if I turn *off* hardware acceleration under the Nvidia codec settings in DD. If I turn on h/w acceleration, the image does not show up on the secondary monitor, but if I drag the DD window over to the primary monitor, the image is there!

Any ideas?
